Week 8 - MBA 6101 - The Future

What will the future hold? Through the numerous reading and articles, the trend is toward a greater integration of technology such as AI into business. The need to adapt to the changing world is always present. As I look to my future, expanding this knowledge of AI in decision making and analytics interests me. I manage many production lines, and sometimes the mass of data that is able to be pulled is overwhelming. An analysis paralysis sets in. A focus on AI in decision making, taking in vast amounts of data, and then summarizing the key pieces of information so effective decisions can be made, would allow for quicker and better informed decisions.

The ability to help design and implement such a systems would position me to expand my career in a new direction. The possibilities for this technology is almost endless. Looking at what marketing can offer me as a side business, I was surprised at the ease at which Google Ads could be set up and advertisement campaigns launched. If I practice and continue learning about Google Ads, this may form a business I can grow. With this in mind, I will need to keep a close eye on the developments of Google Ads.

Overall, I am impressed with the ease that technology can be utilized. Making a Google Site was as easy as designing a PowerPoint, yet looked professional. Where before one had to know how to code to set up a website, all one needs now is the ability to click the mouse. The simplicity brings technology to all businesses to have a global reach. This means that the barrier to entry is low, but the competition then becomes fierce. By constantly refining my skills and reading leading edge articles on AI, and marketing, I can remain competitive in the ever-changing world of business.
